"Today all my inabilities came back to haunt me. They all coordinated an intervention this morning and by 9:16am I knew what was up."
That was what a wrote the end of last week. It was a hellacious week. The weekend has had some recuperative powers and I like myself again. However it is Monday evening and time to start worrying again about productivity, "Get it done! Make sure it is correct! Can't I work any faster? There's two hot issues, which one should I do first? But I've got all this other stuff too! Get it done! This should only take a minute, why is it taking me so long? Get it done! Make sure it is right! Don't be negligent and sloppy this will cause the customer to become irate! Get it done! Make sure it is right! GET IT DONE!" Yes, it is wonderful being me Monday-Friday. Those are the days I have to keep Imodium and ibuprofen on hand at all hours. And I know, everybody hates work, suck it up because nobody wants to hear you complaining. And I admit I don't like listening to other co-workers complaining, though I try to be sympa- and empa-thetic.
The good news is I"m not going to live forever.
